Sir

Will you please tell me the name of the fern of which I enclose spore cases. It is a tree-fern — grows in running water — fronds (hairy base) 6 or 7 ft long, with short stem of two or three ft: grows in granite ranges near Avenel.

Please inform me too if I may trouble you in this way for information when I come across a strange plant.

I am Sir,

Yours Obediently

W E Lewis

Vic.

MS found with a specimen of Dicksonia antarctica (MEL 2147029).
