From Ferdinand von Mueller to James Agnew   21 Dec 1875

Melbourne, 21/12/75

Herewith, dear Dr Agnew, I beg to send you a short dissertation,1 which may prove acceptable for your current number of papers, in which — I suppose — it might perhaps be included by special permission of the R. S.2 Council, though you may not have a timely meeting for reading the paper.

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller.

B76.13.02. The 'dissertation' proper is preceded by a letter seeking publication and praising the Society for 'providing the most favourable vehicle in Australia for the early record of new observations'; see M to [J. Agnew], December 1875 (in this edition as 75-12-21b).
