From William Pearson to Ferdinand von Mueller   31 Mar 1876

Kilmany Park, Sale1

31st March/76

Dear Sir

I enclose the pod of a plant or shrub growing in the scrub on the banks of the Thomson River, Gipps Land As I have never seen it before perhaps it is a rarity. It is full of a substance something like cotton and in a more advanced stage is very tough and strong

Yours truly

Wm Pearson2
