From Ferdinand von Mueller to William Odgers   23 May 1876

Melbourne

23/5/76.

The Undersecretary

Sir,

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the new volume of the Danish Society for Natural History.1

I beg to ask, whether the Agent General has also facilities for return-sendings, and if so, whether such can be sent to that Gentleman direct or must be forwarded through your office.2

I have the honor to be,

Sir, your obedient

Ferd. von Mueller.

See W. Odgers to M, 22 May 1876. The run of Videnskabelige meddelelser Dansk naturhistorisk forening i Københaven at the Library of Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne is incomplete but includes the volume for 1875, which was issued early in 1876 and is therefore probably the volume that M is acknowledging.

On 26 May 1876 the Under Secretary, W. Odgers, noted: 'Any return presentations shd be sent to the Agent General through this Office'.
