To Edward Ramsay   31 January 1878

31/1/78

I learn, dear Mr Ramsay, that a Gov Schooner proceeds to New Guinea. So says Mr Lawes. Would you be so very friendly to induce the officers to dry for me flowering & fruiting specimens of any kind, and place a ream of paper on my expense on board, explaining how simply the drying process is effected.

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller.
