To Edward Ramsay   14 April 1878

14/[4]/78.1

I shall now be able, dear Mr Ramsay, to send the new Zealand plants.

Pray watch my interest with Goldie, so far as you can. Mess. Mason brothers ought to interest themselves also on my behalf.

Thanks for all your other interest in the furtherance of my labours. Glad for your intended appeal to Commodore Hoskins.

Always your

Ferd. von Mueller

Plants from Port Darwin would be certainly of interest, as the Adelaide Director2 was mean enough to prevent me to get the third set of Schultz's plants.3 Can anyone there procure the Bamboo in flower?4

Paper damaged. Letter dated from its evident connection with M to E. Ramsay, 4 April and 21 April 1878.
