To Edward Ramsay   21 April 1878

Easter-sunday 1878.1

Strange to say, dear Mr Ramsay, the few Glumaceae from N.Z. cannot be found;2 they are evidently mislaid, though I keep the N.Z plants separate in my Museum. I have sacrificed some time in searching for these specimens, but in vain. This mishap is excusable, when I say, that to the only room for my museum plants (i.e. my museum) has not been added since 21 years. Want of space causes much confusion. Pray send me the names of the missing Glumaceae, and I will pick out better specimens for your trustee from my normal collection at once then.

Regardfully

Ferd von Mueller
