To Edward Ramsay   1 June 1878

1/6/78

Tell me kindly, dear Mr Ramsay, whether likely a chance will arise of one of the fregaths1 of the Sydney Station proceeding to N. Guinea or into the vicinity. Perhaps Commodore Hoskins has a chance of sending one of his ships in that direction, when perhaps I could be taken over myself and fetched back after a while, without any troubles arising thereby.

Regardfully

Ferd. von Mueller.

Of course this is the best season to go to Papua

frigates?
