My dear Sir

Let me hope that long before this can reach you that you will have recovered from your sad sickness. I have just received a letter from the Palmer1 stating that the lemon scented Ironbark is not yet in flower but that as soon as it does flower I shall receive some specimens which I shall of course send to you I send by todays post a few either new things or new for habitats2 hoping to hear soon your obliged

In his notebook, Bailey recorded under this date, ‘Baron Mueller sent specimens of a new form of Daviesia corymbosum or a new species from Eight Mile Plane Also Acacia hispidula Willd. & Notelaea ovata from same place.’
