To Redmond Barry   13 March 1879

13/3/79

Allow me, dear Sir Redmond, to offer to the trustees of the publ. Library ten copies of my enlarged English Edition of Dr Wittsteins organic-chemical constituents of plants.1 I send this little contribution in acknowledgement of the continued generous aid, experiences by you & and your cotrustees in the furtherance of my researches through the aid of your noble Library, thinking also that thus I may offer some little help for your interchanges abroad. The work is my own property, being brought out entirely at my private expense; I am this quite free to furnish additional copies should it be desired — of course in such case gratuitously.

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller.

Wittstein (1878).
