Branchlet of "Box" from Wirrabara Forest Reserve.1

Elevation 1,800 ft. above sea-level.

The tree grows on good soil generally, in the hollows and on the hill sides.

Bark — persistent, hard-looking, and is much used (or has been) for roofing huts.

The timber is of average quality and splits well.

Foliage massive and dark looking.
