To Odoardo Beccari   5 April 1879

5/4/79

Herewith, dear Dr Beccari, I send you the fruits of a new Areca from Trinity Bay.1 The species is allied to A. triandra & A. oxycarpa. I have sent the description to Dr von Regels Garten-Flora.2 Let me thank you for the splendid 3th fascicle of the Malesia!3 In what treasures you are revelling!! I quite envie you about your Rhododendrons &c.

I hope you will let me have soon the Leguminosae, as I like to elaborate them first. Dr Scheffer has sent me a large lot of Rubiaceae, which seem mostly known,4 and which I must retain until I have your Rubiaceae.

Pray remember me to Dr Giglioli and let me remain your regardful

Ferd. von Mueller.
