Es macht mir freude, lieber Herr Tepper, Ihnen die eben geschickten Pflanzen benennen zu können.
Da Sie in Ihrer Halb-Insel ein so natürlich begrenztes Gebiet haben, so könnten Sie solches für eine abgesonderte Special-Flora sehr leicht wählen, u durch Hülfe von Beiträgen anderer Sammler u weitere eigne Reisen leicht eine pflanzengeographisch interessante Enumeration der dortigen Arten liefern.
Es wäre ein hübscher Anhaltspunkt für andere Arbeiten in ähnlichen Gebieten. Die eingeführten Arten sollten aber am Ende der Liste für sich stehen, um das einheimische Pflanzenbild nicht zu entstellen. Eine solche Liste würde für viele südaustral. Schulen nützlich werden.
Ich werde zur Zeit (deo volente) bereit sein die Liste zu revidiren.
Ich würde die Namen für Sie auch bereitwillig systematisch ordnen
Alle Euphrasia Arten die nicht gelb blühen sind bei Ihnen nur Formen von E. Brownii Es sind mehrere sehr seltne Pflanzen von der Nähe des Port Lincoln bekannt; solche möchten sich vielleicht noch auf Ihrer Halbinsel auch finden lassen. —
Haben Sie noch einige Exemplare des blattlosen Prasophyllum zur Untersuchung abzulassen? Ein halbes Tausend wirklich verschiedener Pflanzen Arten werden sich in Ihren Halbinsel schon finden lassen

I will be happy, dear Mr Tepper, to name for you the plants just sent.
Since you have in your peninsula2 such a naturally defined region, you could very easily choose it for a separate special flora, and through the help of contributions of other collectors and your own further travels easily produce a phytogeographically interesting enumeration of the plants there.
It would be a nice reference base for other workers in similar regions. The introduced species should, however, be at the end of the list by themselves in order not to distort the image of the indigenous plants. Such a list would be useful for many South Australian schools.
I will be prepared at the time (God willing) to revise the list.
I would also be willing to arrange the names for you in systematic order.
All Euphrasia species that are not yellow flowering are in your locality only forms of E. brownii. There are several very rare plants known from the vicinity of Port Lincoln;3 such may also perhaps still be found on your peninsula.
Have you still some specimens of the leafless Prasophyllum to forward for examination?4 Half a thousand species of truly different plants are found already in your peninsula.
