Wirrabara Forest.1
12/11/79.
Dear Sir Ferdinand.
In my rambles today looking for E. Behriana2 I came across the following: please name them:
No. 1. A small tree 20ft. high; bark deciduous in large flakes leaving the inner bark smooth and of a light-grey color; foliage massive and very ornamental; found growing on a deep marley-clay soil in Wirrabara Forest.3
No. 2. A Mallee, dense of foliage and general growth, about 15ft. high (sometimes 25 ft.) bark deciduous and of a darkish color. Luxuriates on dry limestone ridges. Very general on eastern side of Wirrabara Forest.4
I go north by Pt Augusta5 tomorrow and hope, more towards the coast, to fall in with E. Behriana.
Yours very truly
