From John Brown1    24 November 1879

Adelaide, 24/11/79

Dear Sir Ferdinand,

The enclosed is from the scrub country near Port Pirie on Spencer's Gulf.2 The bark is persistent very dark on stem but lighter on branches. Mark how very distinct the intramarginal veins are from the edge of leaf and how irregular the edge of leaves are.

The tree is small with somewhat dense foliage

A line at convenience re. this tree will much oblige.

Yours very truly

J. E. Brown
