From Ferdinand von Mueller to Johan Lange   29 Nov 1879

29/11/79.

The introduction of Juncus capitatus into this colony as a spontanous plant, dear Prof. Lange, caused me to look over the extra australian specimens of that plant, among which I find specimens of Juncus pygmaeus, confounded with J. capitatus by Burgeaud.1 His locality (Sierra de Guadarramma) seems to be a new one, as I do not see it mentioned in your excellent elaboration of the Junceae of the Spanish flora;2 So I send you a specimen.

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller.
