27/1/80.
It has occurred to me, dear Mr Odgers, that the liberality of the West Australian Government should be reciprocated in sending to the Victorian Government a number of copies of the Forest-Report,1 by forwarding a few (perhaps 5) copies of the Eucalyptus-Atlas,2 brought out here as far as ready. Ours will be at least 100 plates, theirs is 20, so five copies seem to represent a fair return-gift.3
Regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller.

The four decades comprising B79.13.11 were the only decades published by the date of M's letter.
M's suggestion was followed up. Instructions were sent to the Government Printer on 24 February 1880 and a letter to the Colonial Secretary of WA on 25 February.
