From John Brown   9 February 1880

Dear Sir Ferdinand,

Enclosed I send you specimen of Eucalyptus Corynocalyx which I find is just beginning to flower here for the season. I find this tree attains its largest dimension of timber on a soil of an iron sandstone nature. They occupy the highest ranges of this Reserve — and are found on the hill-sides and flats as well.

Yours very truly

J. E. Brown
