From John Brown   23 March 1880

Adelaide, 23/3/80.

Dear Sir Ferdinand,

Thanks for your suggestion regarding the sowing of Acacia decurrens on the bare places of our Reserves. I will adopt your recommendation and try the experiment this season now approaching.

To whom can I apply for seed? I will take 10 lbs (ten pounds) weight of it. What is the best method of preparing the seed previous to sowing? How many hours should it be soaked in water, and how hot should the water, be? Some information on these points will be thankfully received

I purpose having another look for E. Cosmophylla one of these days.

Yours very truly

J. E. Brown
