Das Bruchstück Ihrer Pflanze N. 293, lieber Herr Tepper, hatte mich ganz missleitet, da ich es freilich nicht analysirte, und die Blumen ihre Farbe verloren hatten; ich sehe nun, dass es bloss Pittosporum phillyroides ist. Die Choripetaleae schliessen auch ausnahmsweise gamopetalen Formen ein, u dies Pittosporum, alle Correa-Arten usw sind Beispiele.

The fragment of your plant no. 293, dear Mr Tepper, had misled me completely, because admittedly I did not analyse it and the flowers had lost their colour; I see now that it is merely Pittosporum phillyroides. The Choripetaleae also include exceptionally gamopetalous forms and this Pittosporum, all Correa species and so on are examples.
