My Dear Baron Von Mueller,

I consider it due to you to send in addition to the ordinary official acknowledgment of your valuable donation the thanks of the Trustees for your generosity and public spirit in presenting to them the handsome Volume named in the Margin.2

Such an instance of self abnegation by which you bestow on the Institution a Work, the tribute of an illustrious personage to your scientific eminence and distinction is thoroughly appreciated.
