Allow me to ask you, dear Mr Kippist, whether an application form has reached you for the F.LS, for which honor I wished to propose Mr Charles Hugh Fawcett, now Member of the Legislative Assembly for the District of the Richmond River, Clarence River & Brunswick River, a very large electorate in N.S. Wales.1

Should the application have been miscarried, then please fill out one on the behalf of the Rev. Will. Woolls, Rob Fitzgerald Esq & myself, who were Mr Fawcett’s sponsors.2

Mr Fawcett enriched our knowledge of the plants of the Richm Riv District greatly and discovered Clematis Fawecetti,3 Fawcettia tinosporoides,4 Rhipogonum Fawcetti,5 &c.
