Sir,

I have the honor to enclose a specimen of a plant that grows on the banks of the rivers in this district, the blacks call it "Loungha", it is used by them in killing fish in the waterholes, the3 cut it up fine, and throw it into the water, soon after the fish come to the top dead. — As you may not have seen the plant before I thought you might be interested in the matter. —
