We the undersigned beg to propose1:

John Forrest Esqr., Gold-medalist and F.RGS, Chevalier of the Order of the Italian Crown, Hon. Member of the Royal Italian Geographic Society, &c to the honor of being elected a fellow of the Linnean Society of London, In consideration of his efforts for the elucidation of Australian plants during his extensive geographical journeys.
