I have the honor to inform you that the Council of the city of Melbourne has appointed Mr. Councillor Pigdon, J.P. to be the Corporation's Trustee of the Royal Park in room and stead of Mr. Councillor A. K. Smith, deceased.1

At a meeting of the Trustees held yesterday, it was resolved to solicit from you that the name of Councillor Pigdon and of the other new members, appointed since the deed of the trust was prepared, may be added to the names of the other Trustees in that document.
