Ich möchte Sie gern befragen, lieber Herr Holtze, ob bei Ihnen mehr wie eine Cycas Art vorkommt. Jedenfalls möchte ich Sie auch bitten, mir ein Stück des Blattes sowie einige männliche Schoppen1 (aus dem Zapfen), sowie eine weibliche Axis mit einer Nuss zu senden. Ich bin gerade dabei, eine Arbeit über australische Cycadeen zu beendigen, und so wäre mir Material auch aus Ihrer Gegend sehr willkommen.
Sie würden mir auch wohl gütig über die Höhe der Stämme dort, sowie über die Standorte Mittheilung machen.

I should like to ask you, dear Mr Holtze, whether more than one Cycas species occurs there. In any case I should also like to ask you to send me a piece of the leaf, as well as a few male scales (from the cone), and also a female axis with a nut. I'm currently engaged in concluding a work on Australian Cycadeae,2 so that material also from your vicinity would be very welcome.
Would you also be so kind as to inform me of the height of the trunks there, and also about the localities.
