On 21 September Groener wrote in reply to a letter Walker wrote on 16 September [letter not found]: '… I would advise you to send a sample copy to Mess. Robertson & Co Bookseller through their agents in Sydney and I will do my best to get subscribers and [as?] will Baron von Mueller'.

He wrote again on 17 October: 'I herewith return the 3 plates which I have shown to the different libraries and bookseller[s] but could not [get] an answer at once. I shall do my best to assist you and so will the Baron von Mueller. You ought to put into Mr Robertsons Agents hands who is the best for these things.'
