Memorandum

From

CONSERVATOR OF FORESTS

FOREST BOARD OFFICE

ADELAIDE

To

Baron Ferd. Von Mueller

K.C.M.G.

Govt. Botanist

Melbourne.

My dear Baron,

I am informed that your Government is cultivating the Wattle somewhat extensively along your lines of Railway. This is what we should do in South Australia and as I intend bringing the matter before my Board soon, I should like to ascertain how the work is being carried out in Victoria in order that I may refer to this in communicating with the Board.

Might I therefore beg of you to ask the proper authorities to kindly furnish me with the desired information.

Trusting I do not hinder you too much.

Believe me

My dear Baron

Yours very truly

J. E. Brown1
