To [William Thiselton-Dyer]1    February 1882

[February 1882]2

I make a commencement in sending you some fossil fruits. Perhaps you have no palaeontologic collection in the Kew Museum; in such case give them kindly to any palaeontologists.3 The second decade of fossil fruits4 will soon appear.

MS annotations by Thiselton-Dyer: ‘2/82’; 'Ap. 29. 82'. This could have been an enclosure to M to W. Thiselton-Dyer, 31 December 1881, or less likely, 31 January 1882.
