I am f[avour]ed1 with your note of the 3rd instant,2 and in reply have to state that the Council will have great pleasure in adding another of your [in]valuable contributions to the Proceedings of this Society for 1881, which is just today going to the press.3

By this present mail you will receive your copy of the Proceedings for 1880, which has just been published
