To William Mitten   17 March 1882

17/3/82.

When writing to you yesterday,1 dear Mr Mitten, I forgot to ask, what Gigaspermum repens of Lindberg is. Like Pleurophascum grandiglobum he must have had it from me, but he never sent me a copy of the description, nor did he return a bid2 for the Gov. Collection here, though he sent some prints on European Mosses by last mail. As there will be soon supplements to the Moss-list, I should like to add this Gigaspermum at its proper place.3

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller.

You seem to have described it as a Leptangium, according to Sauerbeck & Jaeger.4
