From Ferdinand von Mueller to Ralph Tate   4 May 1882

4/5/82

This day, dear Prof. Tate, I got a small parcel of plants from Mr Oliver, collected near Eucla in S.A. territory. One of the plants is new for your colony, namely Solanum orbiculatum of Dunal. It is one of the few plants, which extend from Shark-Bay1 to the great Bight, but penetrating not into the largely peculiar vegetation of W.A, nor mixing with the general desert-flora of the wide inland regions of Australia. If anything additional to your Flora comes to me, I will send it to you, before it comes out of my memory.

Regardfully your

Ferd. von Mueller.

Solanum orbiculatum

WA.
