To Edward Ramsay   16 August 1882

16/8/82

If it could be found out, dear Mr Ramsay, by sending me a specimen of the plant, from what source the resin on the Lachlan River1 is derived, I would send the sample, kindly forwarded by you, to the Amsterdam Exhibition2 with some other things intended for that place soon (next month) Possibly the resin was got under ground.

With best regards

Ferd. von Mueller.
