My dear Baron,
Thanks for your last kind letter enlightening me as to the Hymenanthera. I now send you some seed vessels sent to me from the neighbourhood of Gloucester1 — said to be from a tree 20. or 30. feet high with long narrow sparse leaves — of which only a small fragment of one reached me, in a very dilapidated condition. As far as I could make it out it seemed to have dots & a marginal vein — and to be like a Myrtaceous leaf. — I have shown the seedvessels to Mr. Moore2 and one or two others here and they cannot place them — so I trespass on your kindness for an explanation. Trusting you are well and with sentiments of the highest consideration I remain
Yours very truly
Edwin Daintrey.
