Ich habe den Callistemon Busch jetzt in Blüthe gefunden, und beeile mir Ihnen einen Zweig zuzuschicken; er blüht gelb und würde demnach C. salignus nach Ihrer Benennung sein. Es giebt hier noch eine andere Art welche roth braun blüht, ist aber jetzt noch nicht in blüthe, überhaupt den mit rother blüthe habe ich vom Vieh abgefressen angetroffen dieses Jahr, habe einen schlechten Specimen vom vorigen Jahre, welchen ich mitbeifüge.

Esteemed Baron,

I have found the Callistemon bush in flower now, and hasten to send you a twig; it flowers yellow and accordingly would be C. salignus from your determination.3 Another species is found here, that flowers red-brown, but is not yet in flower at present; generally those with red flowers have been eaten off by the cattle this year, but I have a poor specimen from last year, which I enclose.
