Dear Sir,

I am in receipt of yours respecting the Macrozamia from Fraser's Island.1 I have carefully examined the specimens growing here, & there is most decidedly a slight woolly substance at the base of the leaf stalks. There is no tendency whatever to a lateral twist in the young leaves, the midrib is quite straight from the base, each leaf bending back with a graceful plume-like arch but without the slightest indication of any lateral twist.

I shall send by next mail a small bag of seed of Stenocarpus Cunninghami If you would like any Bunya seed kindly let me know.

Yours faithfully

James Pink
