To William Thiselton-Dyer   29 March 1883

29/3/83.

After posting to you, dear Mr Dyer, a letter by this mail, I receive just before the closing of the post the brochure on the Phylloxera vastatrix in Malaga, kindly sent by you.1 I was aware, that the terrible Vine-scourge got as far as that, but the present publication will give full details. There is a Grand Cordon and a fortune to be gained yet by any one, who can stamp out the pest.

Regardfully your

Ferd von Mueller.

Probably Domingo de Orueta (1882), of which, however, no copy is held in the library, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.
