Indessen: nulla regula sine exceptione
Bestens grüssend
Ihr
Ferd. von Mueller.
Könnten Sie noch einen Abdruck Ihres Aufsatzes über Kartoffel Krankheit ablassen?

It will please you, respected Mr Tepper, that among the plants from you that were put aside for critical comparison, another has proved particularly noteworthy, it is your nos. 10, 11 & 370 from Yorke Peninsula,1 namely Calocephalus drummondi B., which little plant we had not known outside Western Australia, where I found it myself at the base of the Stirling Ranges.
Should the deformity on Beyera opaca really depend on fungal growth, usually such growths of vegetative organs are caused by insect bites, whereas fungi interfere destructively in the process of growth. However: no rule without an exception.
Best greetings
Your
Ferd. von Mueller.
Could you let me have another reprint of your essay on potato disease.2
