Dear Sir —
When you can find leisure, I have sent a few more plants for you to name
(1)
(2)
(3) Goodenia?
(4) Grevillea
(5)
(6) Correa Aemula?
(7) Hakea Rostrata?
No 4 appears to have all the characteristics of Grevillea except the foliage leaves. I recognize it as belonging to "Proteaceae" as likewise No 7. The beak in the latter is not turned back as in the engraving in "Botanic Teaching",3 otherwise it appears to be the same.
Nos 4, 5 do not properly belong to our district. They were brought to me from Mt Anakie, distant about 17 miles.
Of 5 I can make nothing at all. Under the microscope the flower? appears to be nothing but a mass of star-like white hair.
I have sent a pretty-looking coral-shaped fung I came across yesterday. I have not pressed it.
Many thanks for information about Epacris.4 I intend forming a bed for some of the commoner district plants at school, viz — Correas Grevilleas, &c.
Yours Very Truly
Sidney Johnson
Correa Aemula
Epacris
Goodenia
Grevillea
Hakea Rostrata
Proteaceae
