26th May

Herewith inclose a couple of Orchids, Dear Baron, that you will oblige much by giving the names, No 1 is much resembling Pt.3 Concinna, but too early for it to be in bloom & No 2 is also somewhat like Pt. nana but I never had nana bloom till august — it is now out of bloom but I did not get down to gather it till now but it blooms early in May — I had it last season but I was too late for the perfect bloom too, — I have been hunting about the sources of the Coliban & Lodden4 for the last few weeks but as yet I only get such as I got in the Maryborough District5

En passant — I got my Agent in Maryborough to collect some bark of the iron bark gum & send it to you in December last & he informed me that he sent it as I desired addressed to you I hope you got it & that it was such as you wanted — I desired him to send some off the young saplings as well as from the full grown tree that you might see its young growth as well — if you deemed it necessary

I remain Dr Baron
