Dear Baron von Mueller
Will you kindly tell me the name of this plant. I make it Myrsine variabilis, but I have some missgiving about it, as I cannot find the fruit. It is a tree growing in the neighborhood of Sydney. I have studied it very closely, both in situ, and at home, with the microscope, with regard to it fertilization, and have walked many times, at all hours, five miles from home, to watch it under all circumstances —
