I inclose to you the only orchid Dear Baron, which I have succeeded in collecting during this season, that I did not get in the Loddon district last season, all the orchids in this (Coliban to Mt Franklin) district3 that I obtained I now give you a list of — that you may be able to compare with other districts viz — Eriochilus auts,4 Pterostylis parviflora, Pt nana, Pt. Curta, Pt nutans, Pt praecox Pt. barbata, Diuris peduna,5 D. macula6 Caladenia deformis, C. Carnea, C alata C pulcherrima, Calochilus campestris, Prasophullum7 patens, Thelymitra longifa8 T. carnea (just coming in bloom) — Microtis parvifa9 and a Thelymitra, with much broader leaf and very large bracts, 4 or 5 of them, yet the bloom appears nearly the same, whether only a variety or not I cannot tell

I have failed to get T. antennifera or T. McMillani, or T. McKibbini10 here also I failed to get Prasm Archeri11 or intricatum or Caladenia Coerulia12 although I searched very carefully all this district.

I regret you had not sufficient specimens to enable you to examine the Pterostylis I sent you early in the year, as I know I never collected it before & it differs from the only one (Pt. nana) it has any likeness to, by having a double pointed labellum

I am Dear Baron

yours very truly
