POST OFFICE TELEGRAPHS, VICTORIA.

O.H.M.S.

To Barnard Esqr

28 Oct 1883

Address Secretary Royal Society, Tasmania

Will send paper on Ettingshausen's Tasmanian fossils1 this week

Baron Von Mueller

B85.13.27. M's paper was read at the meeting of the Royal Society of Tasmania on 8 April 1884.

MS is a telegram, evidently sent in response to a letter from Barnard 'Asking for a Paper for Novr. meeting', recorded as sent to M on 12 October (RSA/B/1 letter index, Royal Society of Tasmania Archives, Hobart). MS found at MEL with a specimen of Uvaria holtzei, having apparently been used by M as a specimen label since he has written on the verso: 'Uvaria Holtzeana FvM 307 Port Darwin Holtze' (see also M to M. Holtze, 29 October 1883).
