Im Vertrauen auf Ihre uns von vielen Seiten gerühmte Gefälligkeit erlauben wir im Interesse unserer Bibliothek Sie mit einer Bitte zu belästigen. Von der Universität Melbourne wurde uns im Jahre 1880 Ihr Werk Fragmenta phytographiae Australiae Vol. VI-X zum Geschenk gemacht. Trotz vielfacher Bemühungen und Anfragen bei Buchhandlungen und Antiquariaten ist es uns nicht gelungen das für uns so wichtige Werk zu vervollständigen. Wir erlauben uns daher die ergebenste Bitte Euer Hochwohlgeboren wollten uns die noch fehlende Bände genanntes Werkes gütigst vermitteln und zeichnen mit verbindlichsten Danke führ Ihre Bemuhungen

In reliance on your helpfulness that is extolled to us from many sides, we venture in the interests of our library to bother you with a request. Your work Fragmenta phytographiae australiae vol. VI-X2 was given to us as a present by the University of Melbourne in the year 1880. Despite various efforts and inquiries with booksellers and secondhand book dealers, we were not successful in completing the work so important for us. Therefore we permit ourselves the most humble request that Your excellency would most kindly give the volumes still lacking of the said work, and sign with most obliging thanks for your efforts
