Erlauben Sie mir die Vorfrage, geehrter Herr Tepper, ob Sie für eine Ausgabe von einigen £ auf meine Koste mir einige Sachen gütig liefern könnten für eine locale Austellung hier im März. z. B. Waffen aus Holz von den Eingebornen, sobald sich das Holz sicher identificiren lässt. Mellitose, Lerp, Acacien Gummi. Kino der verschiedenen Eucalypten, Netze, Angelfäden u Körbe der Eingebornen, mit Gräsern, Binsen &c für Identification. Zucker von Myoporum. Euc Öl. Seltne Holzarten in passenden Stücken etwas grösser wie ein Mauerstein für Holzbücher &c &c.
Vielleicht ist etwas derartiges in Ihrer u Ihrer Freunde Bereich ohne grosse Mühe

Permit me the preliminary question, respected Mr Tepper, whether you could kindly supply me for an expenditure of a few pounds at my cost some things for a local exhibition here in March,1 for example weapons of wood of the Aborigines, as long as the wood can be identified certainly. Mellitose, lerp, acacia gum, kino of various eucalypts, nets, fishing lines and baskets of the Aborigines, with grasses, rushes &c for identification. Sugar from Myoporum. Euc.2 oil, rare kinds of wood in suitable pieces somewhat larger than a brick for wood books &c &c.
Perhaps something of the kind is in your and your friends' province without great trouble.
