Botanical Garden Castlemaine
29th April 1884
Honoured Sir
I have the pleasure of sending you a few dried specimens of Eucalyptus, in the cotyledon state. I could not send more of Leucopogon & spe1 from N. W Australia at present, but there is a few more of them comming on so I hope to be able to send more later on. I keep a note of the number of each sort sent so that if there is not enough from the first sowing I hope to make them up in the second sowing. I would like to send you from 6 to 8 specimens of each species in the cotleydon2 state and as many in the perfect leaf state If you think that number would be sufficient
I hope this first effort is to your satisfaction
Trusting you are in good health
I remain Dear Sir
Your humble Servant
Phillip Doran3
