From Ferdinand von Mueller to Thomas Wilson   28 July 1884

Melbourne,

28/7/84

T. R. Wilson Esqr.

Undersecretary.

Sir

In the letter, which three days ago I had the honor to forward to the hon. the Chief Secretary concerning Junior Assistant Henry,1 I have made a mistake by stating, that he had been two years in the service of the Government, trusting to his own statement as correct; but on referring to the books of the office I find, that he was fully three years in Governments employ, so that if the honorable the Chief Secretary would kindly grant him a gratuity at the rate of service, it would be for three not two years.2

I have the honor to be

Sir, your obedient servant

Ferd. von Mueller.
