To Miss Maund1    29 July 1884

29/[7]/84.

At last, dear Miss Maund, some seeds of Triglochin Maundii have been got.2 The plant is very local, and I owe the seeds to Mr Bailey of Brisbane. - Whether they will retain the power of germination is doubtful; if not a new sending of some grains in a phial of water should be effected.

When once in your tank established, it might be tried, whether it could be naturalized in the swamps of your island,3 where the winters are so mild.

Regardfully

your

Ferd. von Mueller.
