From Ferdinand von Mueller to Robert Wadsworth   2 Oct 1884

2/10/84

This afternoon, dear Mr Wadsworth, I went with Mrs Dr Büttner1 to wait on Lady Loch, and her Ladyship referred in her conversation to the Eucalypts, and had branches of them in Vases. This reminds me, that his Excellency would likely be interested in my Eucalyptography, and perhaps a copy could be got through the hon. the Premier for the Governor.

Regardfully

your

Ferd. von Mueller.

The 10th Decade of the Eucalyptography is just completed.2

Henriette Büttner, wife of Alexander Büttner.

B84.08.05. Wadsworth sent the suggestion to E. Thomas, Secretary to the Premier, who in turn issued instructions to the Government Printer and the Public Librarian to supply the Governor with Eucalyptographia (P84/2920, P84/2922, P84/3308, P84/3326, unit 41, VPRS 1163, Public Record Office, Victoria).
