Ich glaube, dass ich mit Nro. 377 Eucalytus, die unrechte Frucht beilegte, u. sende desshalb um sicher zu sein, die rechte Frucht hiermit nachträglich.

I believe that I enclosed the wrong fruit with No. 377 Eucalyptus, and therefore now send the right fruit belatedly, just to be safe.2

Bäuerlen's No. 377 is filed at MEL as a specimen of Eucalyptus stellulata (MEL 705834). According to Bäuerlen's label, it was collected in the Braidwood district in January 1885. Presumably Bäuerlen would have sent the present note and the correct fruit to M soon after sending the specimen.
